“With a career beginning in his teens, Bob Stuth-Wade continues to paint and exhibit regularly around the state with his most notable exhibits being with his long- standing gallery partner, Valley House Gallery, in Dallas. The Valley House presented his one-man exhibit earlier this year titled, “The Comfort of Trees.” Recently two of Stuth-Wade’s painting were selected for “The Art of Texas State Parks” project, a traveling exhibit, benefiting the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation.
Bob Stuth-Wade’s work has been written about by Eleanor Jones Harvey of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Fredrick Turner in American Arts Quarterly, Judy Denton for the Grace Museum of Abilene and Rebecca Lawton of the Amon Carter Museum of Fort Worth.
A four time winner of the Stars of Texas Juried Exhibit in Brownwood, Texas, Stuth-Wade is well know for his en Plein Air paintings of the Colorado River Bend area, Proctor Lake in Comanche, County, as well as Big Bend on far West Texas.”
