April 4 - 9, 2022
From the Art Galleries at TCU:
“The Art Galleries at TCU presents Come Home, Heroine, MFA Thesis Exhibition by Adrianna Touch. Come Home, Heroine will be on view at Moudy Gallery from April 4 – 9, 2022, with an opening reception on Wednesday, April 6th, from 5-7pm.
Come Home, Heroine focuses on a heroine’s journey from her real home to her fantastical home existing in a different realm. Showcasing sculptures, ceramics, drawings, and found objects, the exhibition centers on three realms: home, traveling, and fantasy. Based on Touch’s background as the daughter of Cambodian immigrants who experienced the brutalities of the Khmer Rouge, Come Home, Heroine engages with ideas on healing from generational trauma, overlapping identities, and discovering self-love.
Adrianna Touch (Dallas, TX, b.1994) received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in drawing/painting at the University of North Texas in 2017 and is currently a Master of Fine Arts candidate at Texas Christian University. Touch has exhibited in Texas and currently resides and teaches in Fort Worth, TX. Touch is a multidisciplinary artist mainly working in objects and arrangements. She engages with imaginative forms that inform her realities as a daughter of Cambodian immigrants.
