October 23 - November 6, 2021
From Prizer Arts & Letters:
“The Earth Moves highlights Austin artist Tammy West’s site specific environmental art, ecological earthworks, mixed media and sculptural works and photography. Reverence of the natural world rules West’s work. She strives to connect people to the degradation and wonder of our planet while providing an energetic deep breath directly into addressing solutions and encouraging stewardship and conservation. Letting land and culture lead the way, she explores issues of climate change, species decline and ecological restoration.
West’s work has been exhibited across the country and internationally and in publications, including at the SOHO photo gallery in NYC, the South LA Contemporary, The Peninsula Museum of Art, Platform 3 Gallery, Tehran, Iran and at the United Nations Climate Talks in Germany, Santiago Chile and Alfortville, France.
Note: Due to COVID, the reception will take place outside the gallery and a limited number of people will be able to view the show at one time. Masks are required while inside the gallery.”
