From Northern-Southern:
“Northern-Southern re-opens in downtown Austin, in a building slated for demolition in about a year-and-a-half. A new gallery program begins with a group show named after the three most important things in real estate: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.
The artists gathered share an occupation with place. The subject of each work is a place so specific it can be pinned on a map. The locations range: domestic nooks, urban corners, secret trees, vast lakes, remote plains, the scars of highways. What do we make of these places? What, and when, is a place?”
