“Dock Space Gallery located in Lone Star Studios presents “Two Roads to San Antonio/ George Tobolowsky & Brian Wedgworth”. These two Texas Artists are well known for their steel sculptures often made from found objects or reclaimed steel components. George Tobolowsky is from Dallas with a studio in Mountain Springs, TX and Brian Wedgworth is from McAllen with a studio in Harlingen, TX. This exhibition will open on Saturday, August 14 from 6:00pm till 9:30pm. Both of these artists are members of the Texas Sculpture Group and have other upcoming exhibitions in Texas- Brian’s exhibition “ Articulations in Steel” opens September 23 at the Performing Arts Center at the University of Texas Rio Grand Valley in Edinburgh, TX and George is in the “Ground Zero 360” exhibition opening September 11 at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas, TX and “The Jerusalem Biennale for Contemporary Art 2021”, opening in November. Also opening will be “New Mexico Wilderness” by photographer Ramin Samandari in his Magical Realism Studio. This exhibition is also located in Lone Star Studios. Attached to this announcement are examples of artworks that will be in the “Two Roads to San Antonio” exhibition as well as portraits of Tobolowsky (in the blue shirt) and Wedgworth (in the black shirt).
