ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Taylor Galvan is a multi-media artist currently living and working in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2013, she spent time working as a public-school educator in addition to developing her personal work. She is now focusing on reconnecting with her studio practice. In her work, she is interested in exploring complex perspectives within her culture and environment. Using allegory as an investigative tool, she explores the beauty and humble reality of the human experience, creating ambiguous moments of familiarity with a tinge of discomfort.
Ursula Zavala or “Acidwinzip” is a visual artist born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Their work consists of digital and traditional collages, combining computer-generated graphics and mixed media. Their collages are inspired by art history, nostalgia, and Internet culture. They explore the contrast of traditional art versus modern digital media, past and future, and remixing the two to create something new.”
