From the organizers:
“Join us for our new biweekly virtual artist meet-ups for adults, the Virtual Studio Sessions! Each session will feature different art activities focused on experimentation with a variety of mediums. This is a great opportunity to meet other artists and work on projects within your own studio space.
This first session will be on Representational Collages!
Explore the connection between form and content by experimenting with this collage technique. Participants will start out by drawing a silhouette of an object or model (perhaps a loved one?) onto a sheet of paper. Then, we will cut and paste magazine images to form a representational collage. This is the perfect opportunity to work with found images while examining the meaning-making process.
