A solo exhibition featuring work by Melvin Scott.
From the gallery:
“This month’s Solo Vertual exhibit features the art of our friend and neighbor, Melvin Scott.
Trained in the trade of painting, Melvin enjoys using his creativity at every opportunity, which is apparent in the way he tends his yard and his hand-built home.
But the bulk of his artistry is found on 9″x12″ sheets of paper, barely contained within multiple over-stuffed folders, and richly covered with colored wax. The image above shows one piece from the series of coloring book pages he has done. Most of the rest of his work is abstract – though if you were to engage him in conversation about them, he will invite you to find many images hiding within them.
Dive in to the galleries of his work we’ve assembled on our homepage, and let your imagination flow through the textural paradise.”
