July 31 - September 27, 2020
A solo exhibition featuring work by Christopher Hynes.
From Link & Pin:
“Hynes exhibits his color field paintings that are created with multiple layers of pigmented plaster to form a unique surface and depth. Transformed with the changing light of day, the paintings are both an evocative and a meditative exploration in color and shape. Hynes grew up in Washington, D.C., around artists, writers, and politicos. As a young man, he played in rock and roll bands until 1988 when he turned to the visual arts full time. He is mostly self-taught and has had numerous group and one-man shows in Texas, New York, D.C., and several other cities in the U.S. He has lived in Austin since 1984. He is in many private collections across the United States.
Hynes will broadcast an artist talk on Instagram on Sunday, August 16 at 2pm. The talk will be posted on Link & Pin website and at christopherhynes.com Follow Hynes on Facebook and Instagram: @hynesaustinart.
