From the University Art Galleries at A&M:
“A Tale of Two Collections explores the surprising similarities and remarkable differences that can be found in the holdings of Texas A&M’s Stark and Forsyth galleries. How do artists from each collection tackle topics like evolving notions of family and parenthood? Capture iconic images of cowboys? Or depict lush landscapes that use pops of brilliant color to dazzle the eye? How are formal portraiture and abstract design represented? With over 50 items on display, this exhibition highlights extraordinary works from a pair of remarkable collections that have grown in the heart of Aggieland.
