Note: this event is only-only.
During this time of isolation, artists Tiffany Chung and Kim Yasuda have been talking about their daily lives — what they think, what they do, and what this time means for the future of artists. Chung developed writing prompts based on the form of haiku, which start with the phrase “While the World Stands Still…” The haiku are about the inspirations she’s found, which reflect the intellectual and creative processes of Chung’s practice. In response, Yasuda (who is also a professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara) has developed a project for and with her students called “The Soundscapes of Lockdown,” which embodies her emphasis on combining her artistic and pedagogical practices.
