Monuments of the Future
In conjunction with the themes of Villa, Teatro Dallas invites proposals from Dallas area artists to envision alternative monuments in Dallas public spaces in need of racial and cultural healing. Artists will present these ideas at a salon where audience members will advance one project for print publication. Curated by Giovanni Valderas.
November 21, 7 PM
The MAC 1503 S Ervay St, Dallas, TX 75215
Teatro Dallas invites you to a relaxed conversation with a wine and lite bites reception featuring three outstanding North Texas artists, Christopher Blay, Analise Minjares, and Angela Faz.
Each artist has been invited to imagine and present a conceptual monument, public work or intervention for the future of Dallas! Come check out their ideas and join in the collaboration. Help select one work to move forward for publication as a mail-art project. The evening is curated by Giovanni Valderas.
This is the second event in Teatro Dallas’ CO-LAB series, which is designed to dissolve the barrier between audiences and artists. It is free and open to the public and hosted at The MAC.
CO-LAB stands for Community Laboratory and invites collaboration between audiences and artists.
