October 19 - November 30, 2019
“During the SMH festival, “Pitch and Roll” fills The Hangar at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum at Hobby Airport. This exhibition introduces contemporary sculptures positioned side by side with classic airplanes. The exhibit intimately connects the art to human industry and technological prowess. “Hangar” artists responded to this challenge by creating works of outsize scale and unique diversity that hold their own against the fabulous flying machines. Opening reception is on Saturday, October 19 from 6 to 9 pm.
***Parking Logistics for the Opening Reception*** Parking is available at the Museum lot (8325 Travelair Street). You will need to park at the Museum and then walk over to the Hangar space. Limited street parking is available. Overflow parking is available in the lot across the street from the Museum. Volunteers will be available to provide directions.
The following artists are participating: William Cannings, Dylan Conner, Sharon Engelstein, Orna Feinstein, Alex Larsen, Steve Murphy, Eduardo Portillo, Troy Stanley, James Surls.”
