October 3 - November 12, 2019
A solo exhibition featuring work by Tom Morin.
“Tom Morin: 25 is a chronological review of the artist’s work from a mid-career perspective, focusing on three of his photographic series created in the twenty-five years between 1992 and 2017: Metaphor, Remnants, and Service. In the exhibition catalog, Dr. Therese Mulligan describes the Metaphor series as “the importance…of pictorial representation in which the thing seen is symbolic or evocative of something else, including psychological states of mind or feeling;” Remnants as “abstract images captured from nature ‘which evoke the synthesis of intellect and emotion with a profound interiority through a minimalizing style;’ ” and Service, “a documentary approach to photographing the subject of military life.””
