February 24 - March 4, 2019
A show of fashion photography and wearable sculptural turbans from the historical period of the 18th century by artist Chesley Antoinette. “Tignon pronounce [tēyôN] is a French word that can mean cloth or handkerchief and is used to reference the headwraps of Creole women. The display will explore a body of work through women of African descent. This exhibition is intended to create dialogue around the ideas of liberty, private property and government policies that affect individual choices.”
