Write with Us is a free workshop for writers of all levels, designed to encourage and strengthen important art looking and writing skills. This workshop will aim to educate and inspire both new and experienced writers, as well as address the present need for more engaging critical responses to contemporary art in Dallas. Each workshop will focus exclusively on one Dallas Contemporary exhibiting artist.
Conversation: March 9, 2019 | 1–2 pm
A free, drop-in tour. Tours are led by a DC Educator or Curator.
Workshop: March 13, 2019 | 10–11 am
Parents and caregivers are invited to bring children ages 18 months and younger for an educator-led stroll through Margarita Cabrera's exhibition.
Panel: February 7, 2019 | 5:30–7:30 pm
Frontera: Myths & Realities of Life Along the Tx-Mex Border: Join Dallas Contemporary and the SMU Mission Foods Texas/Mexico Center for a panel discussion on these key issues moderated by Luisa del Rosal, the Executive Director of the SMU Mission Foods Texas/Mexico Center. Panelists include Alfredo Corchado of the Dallas Morning News and Neil Foley of the Clements Center for Southwest Studies.
