January 11 - February 9, 2019
A show of works by Houston artist Sarah Sudhoff. “This experiential exhibition takes cues from the connections between sound, behavior and human emotion. The sounds of aviation, such as military planes and helicopters, have long been part of the fabric of Sudhoff’s life. Her father a military pilot, she grew up on or near military bases. She recalls, “He once left for nine months to serve on an aircraft carrier and then again to serve in Desert Storm. The sounds that carried him away resurfaced on his return.” These sounds represent nostalgia, as well as both hope and fear.”
