“Aptly titled Napoleon’s Just Desserts, Scottish writer and curator, Gavin Morrison, will draw connections between the famous emperor, food, myths and paintings using a 19th century portrait of Napoleon hanging in the Adolphus lobby as a foundational starting point; the renowned portrait’s twin currently hangs in the Met. Morrison will also discuss his current literary project, A Dictionary of Napoleonic Cuisine.”
