An exhibition featuring artworks by Llewellyn Xavier. “Within this body of work, Xavier re-interprets the epistolary relationship he maintained with civil rights activist, and San Quentin and Soledad inmate, George Jackson. Photographs of Jackson, newspaper articles covering his wrongful death, surveillance stamps from the prison, handwritten envelopes, and excerpts from Jackson and Xavier’s letters have been used to create the silk screen prints and collages on view.”
