A screening of 16mm films from the 1950s-1970s. Some info on the films below:
Home is Where the Heart Is – Mid 50s – Gorgeous color film about buying a home through a Savings & Loan – if you are younger than about 50, none of this will make any sense. 22 min.
Good Morning How May I Help You? – 1959-60 – Beautifully photographed in black & white, an homage to the Bell telephone operator. 18 min.
Our Election Day Illusion – 1961 – Documentary about gerrymandering and why we can’t have nice things. 30 min.
The Baggs – 1973 – A non-narrative fantasy about two sacks of junk which come alive and escape from their collector to demonstrate to elementary school kids concepts of love, understanding, and humor – yes, it was the 70s, and there may be a quiz. 11 1/2 min.
