For her lunchtime talk at Rice Gallery, Professor Betty Joseph will discuss Anila Quayyum Agha's installation as it relates to jali, ornamental screens used in Indian architecture, and how this "window" frames our understanding of the multiple histories Agha alludes to in her work. The talk will be 15-20 minutes followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
Workshop: October 17, 2015 | 1–2 pm
Writing Workshop for Adults. Mary Wemple will lead this free workshop at Rice Gallery for adult writers to write poetry and prose inspired by Anila Quayyum Agha's "Intersections."
