Phone Homer is a techno-feminist remix of the ancient epic poem, “The Iliad.” Video and performance artist Michelle Ellsworth performs a one woman, multimedia portrayal of Clytemnestra in a version of the Iliad that features Skype, fast food, torture, and illiterate dance phrases on an Astroturf sheet. That’s quite the cultural brainful but the Denver Post says it’s “artistically wild, scientifically accurate movement/theater…” At last, a Homer we Instagrammers can love.
