January 14 - February 25, 2011
The Museum of Art at Midwestern State University presents an exhibition of black-and-white photographs shot with a vintage Deardorff view camera by Michael Nye. For the exhibition About Hunger and Resilience Nye traveled all over the United States, contacting food banks, churches and charitable organizations while documenting his encounters. The fifty portraits on view are accompanied with audio of the voices of the subjects who talk about their lives and what it is like to be hungry.
