STYLE’19 | CALL FOR ARTISTS
Now in its 13th year, Style (with its 2nd year at MCD) is a show, sale, and benefit celebrating independent contemporary craft and design. This curated event is focused on the highest quality fashion, jewelry, accessories and now, new in 2019, home.
Style ‘19 will take place over two days on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 at the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco. Our esteemed jurors will hand select 35 national and international designers to participate in the 2019 event. Attendees can experience and purchase original pieces as well as meet the makers.
HOW TO APPLY
The open call to local, national, and international artists is open April 1 through July 8, 2019 (11:59 PM). Please complete the online application form at the link provided. A $30 (USD) non-refundable entry fee will be charged per applicant at the time of submission.
Apparel, jewelry, accessories and home goods including functional ceramics, glass, textiles and wood.
The event will be publicized regionally and nationally. MCD/Style reserves the right to use photographs or digital images of any accepted work for the purpose of publicity.
All artists will receive a digital media kit to use on their website and digital communications. Artists will also receive listing on the Museum of Craft and Design website and access to our event PR and promotion leading up to and during the event.
Apparel and larger item artists will be assigned a full booth at 8′ x 8′ and includes up to two 6′ x 2.5′ tables and two chairs. The full booth fee is $550.
Jewelers and smaller item artists will be assigned a half booth at 6’ x 5’ with up to one 6′ x 2.5′ table and two chairs. The half booth fee is $350.
In addition to tables and chairs, each booth will have access to WiFi and will receive a printed sign with your business name and booth number. Garment racks and additional tables will be available for rent. Additional rental information and booth fee payments will be made upon selection in August 2019.
Due to our intimate space, the Style event coordinators will decide final booth assignments. Not all booth requests can be accommodated but will certainly be considered.
On all transactions, vendors will receive 70% of net sales. MCD will absorb all credit card processing fees. You will be paid approximately (3) three weeks after the close of the event and will receive a full accounting of your transactions.
Additionally, Style operates a centralized cash register and accepts cash and all major debit and credit cards. This allows the artists to focus on meeting and styling their customers without the interference of having to ring up sales.
