More InformationMINDPOP seeks a Program Coordinator for Special Projects to coordinate large-scale or national projects to increase student access to the arts and creative learning in Austin and across the country. Immediately, the Program Coordinator will manage coordination of MINDPOP events and special projects such as: a) development of a system-wide elementary dance program including curriculum development; b) supporting sustainable out-of-school time dance programs; and c) MINDPOP educational convenings.
MINDPOP is a non-profit organization that designs and builds creative learning systems nationwide. As the managing partner of Austin’s Creative Learning Initiative, MINDPOP is responsible for the design and coordination of this Collective Impact effort with lead partners Austin ISD, the City of Austin and implementation partners from more than 100+ arts organizations. MINDPOP offers consulting services nationally to communities interested in expanding creative learning system models in their own community.
A successful candidate will be an experienced dance educator with a track-record of success working with teachers and artists in professional learning; experience producing large-scale events or professional conferences; and experience managing budgets, human resources and general operating systems with integrity.
Specific job responsibilities:
-Manage the development or adaptation of a PK-5 elementary dance curriculum and assessments
-Develop professional development to support curriculum implementation
-Identify and support sustainable out of school time dance programs
-Coordinate large-scale or national events, such as professional conferences or student arts festival
-Coordinate MINDPOP special projects
-Assume other responsibilities as requested
-Demonstrated experience to perform the job responsibilities outlined above
-Proven success in dance education, as well as project management, communication and organizational skills
-Salary range between $48,000 - $50,000 based on qualifications and experience. Benefits package included.
