Founded in 2015, Satellite is a New York-based artist-run platform that presents projects in Miami, New York, and Austin. In 2019, the Satellite Art Show debuted in Austin at the Museum of Human Achievement. However, this will be the first time it has returned to the city since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 SXSW.

This year, the organization is presenting Satellite Ranch, an art fair on a 10-acre property located at 719 Shady Lane, across from Hi-Sign Brewery in East Austin. Satellite Ranch will feature public installations on the grounds and exhibitions inside four homes.

Regarding the vision for the event, the organization’s website explains that “Satellite Ranch is a platform for revolutionary art… [and] is the place for large-scale installations, performances, drive-in art, music, and much more.”

Galleries, collectives, organizations and artists are encouraged to apply to participate in the event. There is a $25 application fee, but no application deadline has been announced. Record labels, musicians, film makers, and tech companies who are interested in presenting should reach out via email to [email protected].
