The Austin Studio Tour is an annual event that combines the former East Austin Studio Tour and West Austin Studio Tour, both of which were founded by Big Medium. Though these programs originally happened at different times of the year, more recently the organization has combined the events. Now, in November the Austin Studio Tour will take place over multiple weekends.

The George Washington Carver Museum will host the Kick-Off Party as well as a group exhibition featuring hundreds of artists who are participating in the tour. The party will take place on Saturday, November 2, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Then, on November 9 and 10, art spaces West of I-35 will be open from Noon to 6 p.m. and on November 16 and 17, art spaces East of I-35 will be open from Noon to 6 p.m.

This year 480 local artists and collaboratives will take part in the Austin Studio Tour. Some participating venues include Plein Air Austin, Unchained.Art Contemporary Gallery, Cooper McBean Recspec Gallery Annex, Cloud Tree Studios and Gallery, Mexic-Arte Museum, the Art Galleries at Austin Community College, ICOSA Collective, Bolm Arts Gallery, and SAGE Studio & Gallery.
