Artspace111 Announces Open Call for 9th Annual Texas Juried Art Exhibition

Artspace111, a Fort Worth-based gallery, has announced an open call for submissions for its 9th Annual Texas Juried Art Exhibition.

This year’s exhibition will be juried by Daisha Board, owner and director of Daisha Board Gallery in Dallas.  A single artist chosen for the show will receive the “Best in Show” award, which comes with a $2,000 prize and the opportunity to present a solo exhibition or be part of a group exhibition at Artspace 111 in 2022-2023. Overall, Ms. Board will award a total of $5,000 in cash prizes to the show’s submitters. 

In a press release announcing the open call, Ms. Board stated, “I’m delighted to be chosen as the juror for the 9th Annual Texas Juried Exhibition at Artspace111. I’m looking forward to viewing the incredibly diverse works that are expected to be submitted. I feel privileged to have a window into each artists’ creative process.”

The competition is open to 2D and 3D works that adhere to the following guidelines as detailed on the submission website:

2D Eligibility & Medium
– Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas.
– Contemporary original 2D work in any media including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images.
– 2D work should not exceed a framed size of 48” wide or 96″ high.
– All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Artspace111.
– The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.

3D Eligibility & Medium
– Open to artists 18 years and older residing in the state of Texas.
– Contemporary original 3D work in any media. Please indicate Indoor or Outdoor.
– 3D work intended to hang on a wall cannot exceed 48″ wide. Free standing indoor work cannot exceed 6 feet in any dimension. Freestanding outdoor work must come with a proper base for installation.
– All work must be original (no reproductions), produced within the last two years, and not previously shown at Artspace111.
– The digital image of the piece submitted must be the piece delivered to Artspace111 if selected by the jury. NO EXCEPTIONS.

There is a $35 entry fee for one piece, and additional entries for $5 each, with a total limit of 6 works. The submission deadline is May 31, 2022 at 11:59 pm CDT. To learn more and to submit your work, visit the submission website
