Yesterday, the Glasstire staff ran into Dorota Biczel, Jade Walker, Michael Smith, and all of the other speakers from today’s symposium, Experience In and Beyond the White Cube, at the VAC in Austin. The program will explore (according to their pamphlet) “works that generate experiences that might be considered to be mundane and part and parcel of everyday life and that, in another context, might not be recognized as art experiences at all.”
