This past weekend, the clay, highlighter-yellow installation “Guerrerros” by Efren Marrufo was stolen after the First Friday Art Trail. There are 18 works total: 6 large, 6 medium, 6 small.

Perhaps the jack… I mean, offenders, were plundering artworks of the Lubbock area in the vast tradition of illicit antiquities. Perhaps they thought they would look nice at their house, and forgot briefly that artists are generally poor and like to be paid (or at least asked) for their work. Either way, If anyone happens to spot the bright green clan, give LHUCA a call at (806) 762-8606.
