Glasstire contributor Harbeer Sandhu is among 21 writers receiving Arts Writers Grants from the Creative Capital/Andy Warhol Foundation, for his blog project Critical Condition: “Aiming to provide a local forum for art criticism connected to world literature and international concerns, Harbeer Sandhu will develop a Houston-based art blog featuring weekly posts focusing on the visual art of Houston and Texas in a global context.”
Designed to encourage and reward writing about contemporary art that is rigorous, passionate, eloquent and precise, in its 2012 cycle, the Arts Writers Grant Program has awarded a total of 623,500 USD to twenty-one writers. Ranging from 8,000 USD to 50,000 USD in four categories—articles, blogs, books and short-form writing.
