Glenn Weiss, Houston Art League Director for Three Months, Resigns

by Bill Davenport February 6, 2012

In a surprise move, Glenn Weiss, the newly-hired director of Art League Hosuton, is resigning the post he has held only since November 2011. Asked if he was leaving to take another job, he said no, but wanted to “let the art community know that this circumstance is entirely my decision.  The Board and Staff have been very, very supportive to me.  The Art League is a strong organization that is full of additional promise.”

Was he under paid? What was his background?

He knew what the pay would be when he took the job. It’s a curious situation.

I’m sorry he’s leaving. Weiss seemed really sharp and I think he would have been a real asset to the Houston art community.
