Turn on the Ice-Maker and Warm up the Video Christmas Tree, the Holidays Come to Discovery Green

For the third year in a row, Andy Mann’s Video Tree will be a highlight of the holiday fun at Houston’s Discovery Green Park. Once a fixture of downtown holiday decor, the pyramid of old-school CRT screens was installed every December in Tranquility park near Houston City Hall for most of the 90’s. Rebuilt and revived in 2009 by the park and Aurora Picture Show, the new tree features Mann’s original footage on screen. Equally incongruous, the popular Ice at Discovery Green this year will featuring a jazz concert, figure skating  exhibitions, skating with Santa, and a disco night in addition to daily outdoor skating sessions.
