From May 13-September 30, it’s PRINTHOUSTON, four months of events, talks, and exhibitions organized by PrintMatters, an org which, despite its name, does not mat prints, but instead promotes contemporary printmaking and collecting. They have a detailed calendar of events on their website, beginning today with the second steam roller block printing carving party. Artists and others carve big sheets of MDF, ready for inking and pressing under a moving steamroller at a later date. Saturday, May 14 10am-4pm at Burning Bones Press, 1518 Yale in Houston.
