Todd leaves Menil

by Bill Davenport April 18, 2011

The Menil Collection’s Deputy Director Emily Todd is leaving the Houston institution after three years. Appointed by Menil Director Josef Helfenstein in 2008, Todd was the first to hold the newly-minted Deputy Director post, and was charged with overseeing the Menil’s Office of Planing and Advancement. No word yet on the museum’s plans to fill the position.

Why would our Houston star arts administrator be leaving the venerable Houston institution, the world loves, to take on even higher levels of responsibility at another museum?!?!? May her fabulous Texas boots prevail.
