Houston artist Wendy Wagner won the 2008 Hunting Art Prize and the
$50,000 that goes along with it. Wagner was chosen from 128 finalists
by jurors Rene Paul Barilleaux, chief curator of the Marion Koogler
McNay Art Museum in San Antonio; Amy Lewis Hofland, director of the
Trammel & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas; and
Victoria Lightman, co-founder and principal director of the "Looking at
Art" education program.
