The Houston Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs has released five separate requests for qualifications for public art at the new international terminal at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
This RFQ is looking for artists to design, fabricate, and install permanent, large-scale two-dimensional works in the airport's new terminal.
The total budget for all works chosen is $847,000 and is gleaned from the city's Civic Art Ordinance, which stipulates that 1.75% of design and construction costs for qualifying projects go towards public art.
