Dissent and Desire features a selection of 48 photographs and companion text pieces by artists and collaborators Sunil Gupta and Charan Singh. The works explore the lives, daily routines, and homes of LGBTQ+ individuals in India. The exhibition also includes a video piece documenting the narratives of some of the individuals recurring in the photographic work.

Art at Noon: Ashlyn Davis, the Executive Director of Houston Center for Photography, will discuss documentary photography and the documentary aesthetic in relation to the exhibition Dissent and Desire
