February 2 - April 8, 2017
Jessica Valoris’ exhibition is “inspired by elements of the xigga afro-philo-cosmology, a branch of knowledge and way of being that explores the truths of our origins, presence and universe through a Black cultural lens. Through interactive “phone booths” museum patrons can send and receive messages, listen to mantra, record affirmations and hear soundbites celebrating the legacy and of black radical voices.”
