This artist’s work is always deeply thoughtful, full of analysis, commentary and introspection. It is as though Lydia places herself inside the canvas to convey to the outside world a message through collage and images.
One cannot look at the work superficially. Instead it is important to seek out the hidden metaphors that awaken the need for intellectual discourse. Lydia’s gallery talks typically enlighten the uninformed and reinvigorate us to question, research and focus on issues that fade from our media yet repeat constantly throughout history.
Must read – “If you had known” – then SEE IT! WOW!
Definitely Houston needs to see more of her work!
