Dual exhibitions explore and contrast various historic and contemporary depictions of Native American life. Seeing Native American: Historic Impressions (Forsyth Galleries) features late 19th- and early 20th-century depictions by non-Native American artists, while the companion show Being Native American: Contemporary Expressions (Stark Galleries) features contemporary perspectives by Native American artists.
Opening: January 29, 2015 | 5–6:30 pm
Reception begins at the Forsyth Galleries, with brief talk by John H. Lenihan, and then moves to the Stark Galleries.
