November 8 - 22, 2014
In addition to sketches, plan drawings, and early models, the exhibition will include a recently completed scratch model of the storied steamship Satilla—the first deep water vessel to pass through the Houston waterway in 1914. Most of Ivy’s vessels are on view at the Texas Navy Museum, which is privately owned and operated by the artist himself. This exhibition is curated by the artist’s son Martin Ivy.
