October 5 - December 13, 2014
We’re not sure how, but this show is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Degrees of Separation, which is part of a two year Louisiane-Bretagne exchange of literary and visual artists from Louisiana and France. Oglesby is based in Austin and the show is in Marfa, but we’ll just go with it. Oglesby has created a modular sculpture system (mobile and interchangeable) created from hand-cast concrete pieces inspired by plants from arid regions of the world. The minimal and geometric shapes are meant to resemble “botanical fossils from an industrial era.”
