Behold the third annual Houston Fine Art Fair! Moving back to George R. Brown Convention Center, a more central downtown location, is expected to stimulate more fairgoer participation from scores of nearby large corporations.
HFAF aspires to reflect Houston’s sophisticated and diverse collecting practices, where art enthusiasts will encounter an international cross-section of works in all media-from past to present. The fair will feature modern and contemporary masters, mid-career and emerging artists from around the globe. HFAF also features memorable on-site installations and special projects, plus an invigorating three day program (September 20-22) of panel discussions designed for both novice and experienced collectors.

Houston Mayor Parker press conference on the Arts+ Business Council officially welcomes HFAF to town for its 3rd editon. Mayor Annise Parker will use this platform to break news regarding Business Volunteers for the Arts of the Houston Arts Alliance’s initiative.

Meet the Artist: Cristóbal Valecillos: McLoughlin Gallery, booth #600 American Family features recycled cardboard as a means to refashion interiors habited by glamorous figures dressed in recycled materials. These snapshots of family “momentums” depict domestic life while simultaneously giving tribute to fashion editorial. Trash is depicted in an elegant manner. Valacillo creates full-scale replicas of the scenes used as it enables the viewers to become immersed in these transient scenes.
