A series of workshops in conjunction with the San Angelo Ceramics weekend:
April 18
Dallas artist Randy Brodnax will explore the process of raku, alternative firing techniques and throwing thin on the wheel. Participants will build and fire the kilns. Work will continue on Friday, and culminate on Saturday with a kiln opening. The cost for this workshop is $25 per person.
April 19 9-11 a.m.
James Watkins of Texas Tech University, leads a workshop at the Angelo State University Ceramics facility, located at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. This workshop is sponsored by Angelo State University and there is no charge.
apr 20 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Four of the invited artists from Art of the Pot at the San Angelo Museum will lead a day-long workshop at the Chicken
Farm Art Center. Each of the artists will demonstrate his/her individual work and techniques. The cost for this workshop is $45 ($25 for full time students). Saturday culminates with a barbecue dinner accompanied by music and dancing at the relaxing and congenial grounds
of the Chicken Farm Art Center. All are invited to attend. The cost for the Barbecue dinner is $17 per person.

Roger Allen, owner and director of the Chicken Farm Art Center will lead guests on a tour of all the ceramic
exhibits offering commentary on the work and answering questions.
