This is the first exhibition devoted to Gaultier, one of the most important fashion designers in recent decades. The exhibition highlights Gaultier’s eclectic sources of inspiration with 130 haute couture dresses and ready-to-wear pieces made between the 1970s and 2011.

Late Night Lecture Jean Paul Gaultier: His Life and Times Dr. Valerie Steele, Director and Chief Curator of the Museum of Fashion Institute of Technology, will discuss the work of Jean Paul Gaultier and compare it to that of other designers who were part of a new generation that emerged in the 1980s.
