This symposium marking the rise of a wave of young and creative cosmopolitan African immigrants, so called “Afropolitans.”  Opening address by Derrick Ashong, musician, artist, activist, and social entrepeneur. Friday, Sept. 9, 6:30pm-7:45pm. Talks and presentations with a slew of influential panelists 8am-8pm Saturday, Sept. 10.
