April 16 - May 15, 2011
Kristin Musgnug paints scenes of landscapes and foliage that have such an intense presence as paintings that they turn very quickly into terrifyingly surreal depictions of a world that doesn’t need man. Like the nature she works from, Musgnug’s paint application and color palette speak to hidden violence under calm facades and the feeling that all is not quite right with the world.
