The Art Museum of South Texas exhibits the first major exhibition of Alexandre Hogue, who painted until the age of 96. The exhibition An American Visionary/Paintings and Works on Paper is comprised of approximately eighty oil paintings and sketches. Hogue’s work explores mankind’s misuse of the natural world and the natural elements of fire, water, earth, and air. His landscapes, abstract designs, and detailed sketches portray whimsical representations of the earth and moon.
