Beili Liu: The Mending Project

The Mending Project is an installation with an interactive performance by Beili Liu. Liu’s large format installation takes over Women & Their Work with hundreds of pairs of sewing scissors. The repetitive process she uses creates a veil of shears, intended to evoke a connection with textile workers and the quiet mending that goes on day after day. Participating in the 2011 Texas Biennial.
